God is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
1 Corinthians 1:30
Do you have days when you are spiritually high, and days when you are spiritually low? I do, and that is why I am eager to share with you the Principle of Position and Practice.
This Principle begins with the believer’s eternal, unchanging Position in Christ. As believers in Jesus, our Position is that God has made us “a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17), “holy and blameless before Him in love” (Ephesians 1:4). The believer’s Position in Christ never changes.
But the believer’s Practice does change; thus, our up days and down days in our walk with Christ. Sadly, we sometimes put more focus on our daily Practice than on Christ, our eternal Position in Him.
Now, here is the good news! Our Practice never changes our Position, but our Position can change our Practice. As we make Position our daily focus, it affects our Practice, as the Spirit makes us more and more like Christ. So today, let’s focus on our Position in Christ and boldly say with apostle Paul, “God is the source of your [our] life in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.”
That is our Position in Christ! Eternal! Unchanging!
A fellow traveler,
